Tablescape Thursday: Old Glory

Happy Memorial Day y'all!! I know it is a few days past, but I can never get enough red, white and blue! I lose my marbles for anything patriotic... as you might notice in this week's tablescape. ;) This week I dedicate my tablescape to those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom... the fallen warriors of our military...

I started with an old distressed table decorated with flag buntings.

And used Warren Kimble place mats to start my setting...

...followed by the Warren Kimble plate set.

The plates I used are "Colonial" (a Warren Kimble design by Sakura).
I love how the design matches up on both plates. :)

I found this delightful patriotic silverware set that matched my Warren Kimble plates.

Align CenterI used simple red napkins with Americana napkin holders.
Each holder has a different historical American flag.

And a matching mug for your "pie and coffee".

For the centerpiece, I filled a milk jug jar with red hots, tied a patriotic ribbon around the top and stuck in a few flags.
I just love this milk jar... it has a cow with the saying: "Milk so fresh, the cow doesn't know it's missing." Seriously? haha

Other table decoration include this "proud to be an American rooster"... a couple red star tea light holders and some patriotic cowboy boots filled with daisies.

Mr. Rooster.Cowgirl boots by Tony Lama. I actually wore these under my wedding dress...They are my favorite! :)

And a stained glass, red tea light holdin' star.

And now! Time for PIE!!!
If you want the recipe for this cherry blueberry, star spangled pie click here.

Hope y'all enjoyed your Memorial Day... and my "Old Glory" Tablescape! For more delightful tablescapes... visit Susan's Between Naps on the Porch.

Wow, I love those plates! I love the boots and rustic tabletop with the skirt around it. Is the jar holding the flags full or red marbles...? It looks like it's full of those fireball candies which is an awesome idea. The daisies are perfect too. Great table!

A great tablescape -- love your attention to detail with the lining up of the flags -- that was a great touch.

Now you're also ready for the 4th of July!

Love the table and the flag buntings. While the plates and silverware could have been a little over the top on a regular table, it was absolutely perfect with your table on the porch. I loved the red boots and entire tablescape. Looks like it should be in a magazine!

I'm going to put this idea away in my inspiration file. If I start collecting things now maybe I can re-create this theme when our son-in-law returns from Afghanistan in October! Thanks!

Wow....your tablescape is awesome. You'll be able to use it for Flag Day and July 4th! You should sent your pic of your TL boots to the folks over at Tony Lama. I betcha seeing a pair as daisy holders will be a first. I'm quite partial to flag decor, my birthday is 6/14 - Flag Day and they always had a Flag Day parade in the the little village I grew up in....I always felt so special.
