Mosaic Monday: Mighty Mississippi

I can attest that the very first word I ever learned to spell as a child was:

M-I-S-S...I-S-S...I-P-P...I

And it had a catchy tune to the spelling. Boy, oh boy... I felt like the smartest 5 year old on the planet! Do you know how long that word is? And I could spell it?!

I thought it would only be appropriate to celebrate such a memorable, fun word for Mosaic Monday. ;) Now that I am an adult, I can appreciate all of the beauty of the South... including the Mighty Mississippi River... and the great state of Mississippi. :)

I remember learning to spell Mississippi the same way. The only time I have seen the Mississippi River was when we went to New Orleans. It was too foggy for the steamboats so we took the ferry across the river just so I could say I had crossed the mighty Mississippi. Thanks for bringing back a wonderful memory. Enjoyed your collage.
