Mosaic Monday: Red and Aqua Retro Kitchen

I lose my marbles for vintage kitchens... and (WARNING! Big shocker about to be revealed!!) I particularly lose my marbles for RED retro kitchens! :D I can't help but think that aqua is the perfect combination with red... it is fresh, fun and completely vintagey.

For my Mosaic Monday, hosted by Little Red House... I was rather inspired to put together a retro kitchen mosaic:

Is anyone else losing their cotton pickin' marbles for open cupboards/cabinets without doors?
And does anyone else (besides me) lose their mind for Bob's Big Boy?? I don't know what the secret is in their hamburger sauce (although I have my suspicions...) but I am pretty certain that it was kissed by angels themselves.

Happy Monday!!

  1. See, I like the concept of open cabinets, but I am nowhere near awesome enough to keep them organized and looking nice... so I think for now, my closed cupboards are better for me!

  2. Open cabinets look so cool...but I would have to clean out a lot of stuff (which we probably don't need anyway) and then keep it orderly...hmmmm..I think I like my doors. Fun mosaic

  8. Open cabinets are ones I enjoy seeing but honestly I am not sure I could get my husband to place the things back in any sort of order. It is ironic but I bet he could not find things easier either:) My daughter is selling her home and she took down 1 set of cabinet doors and placed all white everyday dishes on the shelves. It looks beautiful and people are giving her positive feedback. Anyway, I love your mosaic and the aqua and who could resist that Bob's Big Boy sauce:) Lip smacking good!

  14. Oh I love red and I loved my sister's vintage kitchen. It used to be my grandma's house and she got her retro table, and the tiles were black and white and she decorated with red.

My kitchen is not retro but a friend and I were talking about redoing it this summer!
